Paul O’Neill

Paul O’Neill will serve as Head of Quality & Operations for Specialty Brands across the combined company at the close of the transaction. Since February 2024, Mr. O’Neill has held the role of Executive Vice President, Quality & Operations, Specialty Brands at Mallinckrodt. In this capacity, he leads internal and external manufacturing, supply chain distribution, device engineering, quality, technical services, and product support. He is also a member of Mallinckrodt’s executive committee. Prior to this role, Mr. O’Neill served as the company’s Senior Vice President, Quality & Operations, Specialty Brands. 

With more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing operations, plant start-ups, technology transfer, and supply chain management, Mr. O’Neill has held leadership roles at major biopharmaceutical companies including Merck, Pfizer, and Wyeth. Before joining Mallinckrodt in March 2023, he served as Executive Director of Biologics Operations at Merck, where he was responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply strategy for Keytruda and the biologics (mABs) pipeline. Mr. O’Neill’s earlier roles at Pfizer and Wyeth included responsibilities across plant operations, supply chain management, new product launches, site start-ups, and network design. 

Mr. O’Neill holds an MBA from the Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics at the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from University College Cork.
